What it is

Your phone stays connected to local Codex work.

Codex Relay is a small iPhone companion for a relay server running on your own computer. It keeps active threads, prompts, approvals, and workspace previews readable when you step away from the terminal.

Setup

Run the relay, then pair the app.

Start the local server in your workspace, download the iPhone app, then scan or paste the printed pairing payload.

Three steps
  1. Run npx codex-relay@latest in your workspace.
  2. Download Codex Relay from the App Store.
  3. Pair the app and approve the device.

If the phone cannot reach the printed Mobile URL, set CODEX_RELAY_PUBLIC_URL to a reachable local network or Tailscale URL.
